When you get to clickbank website click on ‘marketplace’ and type your market keyword in the search box. If there are few digital information products or membership sites in your market, it is a good sign.
You can search cj.com (a third party affiliate company) if there are products in this market.
You can search news vendor offline or online (e.g http://newslink.org/mag.html) to see if there are magazines in this market.
You can search ebay.com as well.
There are several other ways you can confirm if there are proven buyers in your niche market before you start setting up your website on it.
